About us at Broken Barrel Woodworks

We are Broken Barrel Woodworks out of Plains Montana. Our Time living in Arizona, I really enjoyed spending time in the shop designing and working with wood. Growing up my Dad had a very successful custom Cedar wood company that he started when he was at the Sheriffs department out of Spokane Washington. Spending time as a kid at the shop playing on the stacks of lumber and later working side by side with him, I knew I would one day start my own carpentry business.  Through out the years of building stuff for friends and family I decided I wanted to take this full time.

My Wife, Our 2 amazing dogs and I decided to leave Arizona and move closer to home. We wanted to find a more sustainable life where we can grown our own food, build our own business, and make an impact in a new town. That’s where we landed in a small town called Plains Montana. Formally know as “Wild Horse Plains”. As we settled down I started to get to work.

With my Love for Whiskey and Wine, the craftsmanship, the history and of course the taste, I knew reclaimed barrels was going to be my thing. I know I’m not the only one. There are some talented barrel work craftsman out there doing to the same work I am, but  just as every good carpenter hobbyist or professional out there knows, as long as I can make a great impression and build quality stuff, we will succeed.
